Ann and Tyler were quite the pair.  I had gotten to know them a little bit during their engagement session.  For their wedding, they had a very unique event planned.  The ceremony was a traditional Catholic ceremony at the beautiful Cathedral of Saint Mary in historic downtown Fargo.  Their wedding reception was held outdoors at the Red River Zoo, but more importantly, they decided that between the wedding and reception, they were going to get ice cream and go mini golfing…which I simp ly could not find any fault with.  The secret to any wedding day is ice cream, and I truly wish more couples take some time out to ejoy a chocolate dipped cone on their special day.

Mathew and Sarah were a fantastic couple to photograph during their engagement session, and their wedding at St. Mary’s Cathedral was a beautiful event, filled with family and friends.  There was such an exceptional amount of joy all day long, and I’m honored to have been a part of it and capture such a lovely couple.

    M&S Engagement - 016

Matthew and Sarah are an extraordinarily fun couple who I’ve met through friends.  I’m delighted to get an opportunity to not only photograph their engagement, but be chosen to photograph their special day.  For their engagement session, we utilized NDSU’s campus gardens, the beautiful grounds at St. Mary’s Cathedral, and caught a perfect sunset along the Red River in Fargo at Dike West.  It as truly a fantastic day, and I look forward to photographing their wedding next spring!

I waited a good week to write this one, because when you shoot a wedding, the perception of a situation becomes grossly distorted from it’s reality.

For instance, I though I had completly bungled the shoot.

I’m a pro, I can admit that I had a bad day, and after all that’s what this blog is for. I want my clients to understand my approach. And bad days are better judges of character then good days.

At the time, I thought I COMPLETLY bungled the wedding. There were a number of distractions during the day which were really fraying my nerves.

    1. My car was giving me issues. We had gotten freezing rain the night before, and for some odd reason, my car door WOULD NOT STAY closed. So I had to drive to the locations HOLDING it shut myself.

Which is not good. Not good at all.
