I had met Ayla in the spring of 2014 doing a portfolio builder with another photographer. Ayla was leaving the Fargo Moorhead area and was looking at building her portfolio before whisking away to Paris to begin her career. We shot at her family farm on a cool spring day that only Minnesota can create. Our focus was to keep a softer look for her, pairing antique fashions with some more modern sensibilities.
Matthew and Sarah are an extraordinarily fun couple who I’ve met through friends. I’m delighted to get an opportunity to not only photograph their engagement, but be chosen to photograph their special day. For their engagement session, we utilized NDSU’s campus gardens, the beautiful grounds at St. Mary’s Cathedral, and caught a perfect sunset along the Red River in Fargo at Dike West. It as truly a fantastic day, and I look forward to photographing their wedding next spring!
